I have been in the public accounting field field since about 1980. Previous firms include KPMG (Formerly Price Waterhouse) and Seidman BDO. I have also spent a number of years at smaller CPA firms.

If you could learn to do anything, what would it be?
I would like to learn how to fly a jet fighter aircraft, such as the F-22 Raptor stealth aircraft.
What’s the coolest (or most important) trend you see today?
The world keeps getting smaller and smaller.
What would you most like to tell yourself at age 13?
I would have advised myself to join the military, preferably Air Force.
What is the toughest accountant problem you’ve tackled? How did you handle it? How did you overcome the challenge?
The toughest accounting problem I ever tackled would have occurred when I was a tax manager at KPMG. I was in charge of the tax provision review for a public company and I was the individual signing off on the financials going to the SEC. I handled this by making a moral and ethical decision and brought the information to the attention of the engagement partners. Financials were changed, but it also prevented what could have turned into a legal conundrum.

Being able to provide timely and relevant services to your client base
