What would you most like to tell yourself at age 13?
I would say to myself, you set your own limits! Know yourself and follow your intuition. With discipline and perseverance you can achieve everything you set your mind to achieve.
What is the toughest accountant problem you’ve tackled? How did you handle it? How did you overcome the challenge?
The toughest problem I faced was with a customer who felt unsatisfied with the results of a tax return. I handled it by being patient and listening to the customer. I then thoroughly reviewed the tax return and made a point to fully explain and address the issues raised by the customer. This experience reinforced my belief in treating each customer with respect and integrity. It is important that the customer feels that I have taken appropriate time and care to work on their particular situation. Tax preparation is more than numbers, it is the human connection that also counts.
How do you define success?
Success is knowing that you completed something that you started using all of your skills and abilities learned and acquired, allowing you to achieve your goals as well as the goals of others in order to live the best possible life.
